Metal Slug Anthology (USA) is a PSP game but you can play it through PPSSPP a PSP Emulator and this file is tested and really works. Now you can play it on your android phone or iOS Device.
Ok, so I just got a copy of metal slug anthology for psp. As I was playing Metal Slug 3, I noticed some text on the bottom of the screen, saying FREE PLAY. Free Play is an option that can be activated in the DIP Switches with neo geo mvs/aes systems to disable coin play (inserting coins).
So I unpacked the iso, There were alot of.POD Files containing the game data. I searched online for a POD File unpacker/packer, I opened SLUGROM.POD, It contained 2 folders Roms and neogeo the roms folder contained the ROMS for each game, 1,2,3,4,5,X. The files were in BIN format, like any generic Neo Geo rom. Then the neogeo folder contained the BIOS Files to run the roms. What I'm trying to do is replace the BIOS with this That is the Universe bios, it lets you configure the rom, has a built in cheat menu, etc.
I tried adding uni-bios.rom inside the Neogeo folder of the.POD File, repacked the.cso but when I start a game (Excluding metal slug 6) It hangs and shuts off the psp. Do you guys think this is possible? I doubt anyone has any knowledge of neo geo roms/bioses, but since it is a.cso file I though i'd post here. And no, I'm not asking for help.
